Ann has worked as a Senior Specialist Hand Therapist in East London’s busiest Level 2 trauma hospital, serving one of the most diverse communities in the UK, for over eight years cumulatively. Most recently, she has brought her expertise to the largest private hospital in London. With over 23 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist across multiple disciplines, Ann has also worked privately with some of the biggest names in UK disability sport at National, European, and Paralympic levels. She has provided mentoring and coaching for the Help for Heroes Charity, founded by Prince Harry. As Captain of the Great Britain Women’s wheelchair basketball team, Ann competed in five Paralympic Games. This experience has inspired her to work with private individuals, offering rehabilitation sessions and creating tailored plans to support adaptation to disability and impairments resulting from age, sporting injury, and chronic disability progression.

What can I expect during my first appointment?

At your first appointment you can expect a thorough examination from our expert physio, they will ask you a number of questions regarding your condition as well as conduct a physical evaluation in order to determine the best course of treatment for you. After this, the remainder of the session will be dedicated to providing the most appropriate treatment and therapy for your condition.

How many physiotherapy sessions will I require?

Upon evaluation, our physio will provide you with an in-depth treatment plan that details the exact steps necessary for your recovery and an approximate timeframe.

Is there parking available at the Rockhampton Physio location?

Plentiful on-site parking is available at our Rockhampton clinic.

Are your physios trained and accredited?

Yes. All our therapists are AHPRA registered and invest their time to complete post-graduate education yearly to further strengthen their education and knowledge.

Am I able to claim my physio session through my private health insurance?

Yes, you can. All our clinics are equipped with on-the-spot Hicaps payment and claims processing.

Can I access physiotherapy through my NDIS plan?

All Health First Group physiotherapists are registered NDIS providers, meaning they are able to treat self-managed, agency (NDIA) managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.

Do I need a GP referral for physiotherapy?

No, a doctor’s referral is not necessary.
