Our New Grad Program

As 2022 continues, we are looking for the next generation of physiotherapists and allied health professionals. Our New Grad program is designed to develop you into a private practice clinician. Providing all of the necessary resources to help build on the foundations that your education has provided you, as well as help to further develop your manual therapy skills. Our aim is to give you the tools and experience to increase your confidence as a physiotherapist and provide you with a supportive learning experience in a dynamic business environment.

Most of our clinics are located in regional Australia, this brings with it some interesting opportunities and challenges. As a new grad, you may ask yourself, why should I choose to work in a regional community? Well, here are some of the best reasons to make the regional relocation.

What do our caseloads look like? 

We have a number of different opportunities available for our new grads, we offer a varied caseload that ensures a challenging and dynamic work environment. In our clinics, you can expect a mix of private, WorkCover, NDIS, pre-employment consultations, DVA and EPC patients. We are also able to offer off-site contracts for those looking for experience outside of the clinical environment, our physios offer their services to those in the elderly community, mining sector, and offer their expertise in the field of ergonomics.

What does the program consist of?

Supporting you throughout your time as a new grad is a priority for Health First Group, our in-depth orientation will ensure you learn our systems to ensure you remain confident and supported as you continue to learn. Throughout your first year, you will be completing over 150 hours of CPD and be provided with a buddy that allows you to network with like-minded industry professionals. Health First Group also offers a comprehensive 1:1 mentorship program with one of our senior physios as well as a CPD allowance for external courses of your choice.

What do you need to succeed?

You may be asking yourself, “What do I need to succeed?” Well, we’re looking for new grads with a learning spirit, eager to develop their skills and grow professionally with us. A desire to explore private practice as well as a strong work ethic is highly recommended. Outside of the clinical environment, we’re also looking for those who want a shorter commute to work, to see their pay further, and are interested in being closer to some of Australia’s top travel destinations!
