Accessing the NDIS

At Health First Group, we can assist you if you’re just starting your NDIS journey. There are multiple factors to consider when applying for NDIS funding. Fortunately, you don’t have to do this alone, our team of health professionals are available to help make your journey as smooth as possible.

In order to access allied health under the NDIS at Health First Group, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. Follow the NDIS checklist for eligibility.
  2. Contact the NDIS on 1800 800 110 and an NDIS representative will assist you with your questions.
  3. Once your application is approved you will then work with a Local Area Coordinator or Planner to layout your needs and goals. They will also assist you in allocating your funding to the necessary services.

Once approved by the NDIS, contact your local Health First Group clinic to book an initial appointment. Upon the initial contact, please notify us that you are NDIS approved, your NDIS registration number and how your funding is being managed and remember to bring along your NDIS Agreement to your first appointment. You and your therapist will then be able to work out a service agreement/plan to ensure we help you achieve your goals and aspirations.

Should you have any questions regarding your NDIS Agreement or how to make the most of your funding, please contact your local clinic or drop us a line at hello@healthfirstgroup.com.au and we’ll be more than happy to assist.

We like to make our NDIS service as easy as possible for you to access. We can provide services in our clinic, your home environment, or utilise local gyms or hydrotherapy services to provide you with the best outcomes.

Your first appointment ‘checklist’

Finding the right service provider is an important step to beginning your NDIS journey. You want to be able to find a service provider that understands your needs and is able to deliver a high level of service to help you achieve your goals. Asking the right questions at your first appointment with a service provider can help eliminate any confusion and allow you to make the best decision for you or a loved one.

Although a service provider will try their best to cover all aspects of your service, they may overlook something that you would consider extremely important to you. Because of this, we have made a First Appointment Checklist video to help you learn:

  1. What to expect at your first appointment with a Health First Group Physiotherapist
  2. What questions you can ask to make sure we are the best fit for you
  3. How to prepare for your first appointment
