Frequently Asked Questions

When should I see a Women's Health specialist?

Seeing a specialist is pivotal if no other treatment methods have worked, or if you’re anxious about your condition, feel ill-equipped and require a structure to function and help manage the symptoms affecting your life. Pain is a large factor, as well as changes in your quality of life.

Do I need a referral?

No referral is necessary for an appointment with any of our Women’s Health specialists.

Can I use my private health fund for this appointment?

We accept all private health funds.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Any comfortable clothing is appropriate for your appointment.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring yourself! If there is anything else you may need to bring as treatment progresses you will be notified.

How many treatments will I need?

Treatment times vary according to the problem and the extent thereof. Most pelvic issues take a minimum of 4 weeks to reach a baseline improvement.  Adequate management then takes a further 2-3 months, with sessions occurring roughly once a week. This would include homework and exercise programs to follow, to ensure the best possible results.
