Health First Cairns, formerly known as Physio Health Cairns, was rebranded in December 2021 and became our 7th clinic in Queensland. Our skilled therapists ensure to use the most cutting-edge techniques and each session can be claimed through your health insurance. We are a preferred services provider to many of the region’s biggest companies and employers.
We have a number of experienced Physiotherapists available to help you when you need them. Our Physiotherapy clinic is conveniently located in Woree, has on-site car parking available, is NDIS registered, and is equipped with on-the-spot HICAPS processing.
We service the Cairns area including the surrounding suburbs – Woree, Bayview Heights, Earlville, Mooroobool, White Rock, Bentley Park, Manunda, Portsmith and more.

In 2020, Sam graduated from James Cook University and completed his graduate year in a musculoskeletal clinic located in Cairns. With a sporting background in soccer, touch football, and ongoing involvement in the boxing community in Queensland, Sam applies his firsthand experience to rehabilitate sports-related injuries, treat musculoskeletal issues, and correct muscle imbalances. His interests also extend to vestibular and post-concussion rehabilitation. Sam utilises a combination of manual therapy, exercise prescription, education, and advice to achieve the optimal outcome for all his clients.

Ben has 5 years experience since graduating in 2018. After spending the first part of his career in a small community clinic in New Zealand, he has worked in a high performance sports clinic in Christchurch where he gained experience working closely with surgeons, specialists, podiatrists and other healthcare professions. Ben has a keen interest in lower limb injuries, particularly running related injuries, sports injuries and injury rehabilitation.

At your first appointment you can expect a thorough examination from our expert physio, they will ask you a number of questions regarding your condition as well as conduct a physical evaluation in order to determine the best course of treatment for you. After this, the remainder of the session will be dedicated to providing the most appropriate treatment and therapy for your condition.
Upon evaluation, our physio will provide you with an in-depth treatment plan that details the exact steps necessary for your recovery and an approximate timeframe.
Plentiful on-site parking is available at our Cairns clinic.
Yes. All our therapists are AHPRA registered and invest their time to complete post-graduate education yearly to further strengthen their education and knowledge.
Yes, you can. All our clinics are equipped with on-the-spot Hicaps payment and claims processing.
All Health First Group physiotherapists are registered NDIS providers, meaning they are able to treat self-managed, agency (NDIA) managed and plan-managed NDIS participants.
No, a doctor’s referral is not necessary.
